Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes.
Calvary Family, the Outreach Team is inviting YOU to join us in praying for and packing a shoebox (or 2) for Operation Christmas Child (OCC) through Samaritan's Purse. Grab an empty box from the Calvary foyer, fill it with approved items (Need help finding items to put in your shoebox? Check out a list of ideas here!) and return it to Calvary by November 10th!
Visit the table out in the foyer to learn more about this global outreach that partners with local churches in over 100 countries! The focus is: Evangelization, Discipleship, and Multiplication.
Hear a local story about Stacy Ness, area coordinator for the Red River Valley, who delivered OCC boxes to a village outside of Nairobi, Kenya this past June 2024.
Thank you for partnering with the Outreach Team to help bring the good news of Jesus to the ends of the earth.
Please return the filled boxes to Calvary by Sunday, November 10th.

Finding the Hero in Your Husband
In a complete rewrite of her bestselling book, Finding the Hero in Your Husband, psychologist Dr. Juli Slattery gently guides women to see how their attempts to manage or fix the messiness of marriage may actually undermine the very connection they want to build.
What do you do if your husband won’t get a job? When you don’t like the way he's parenting the kids? How do you know when to stand up to a controlling husband—or if you’ve become a controlling or manipulative wife?
Many women feel lost in their marriages. They don't know what to do with their disappointment, when to ask for help, or what it looks like to let go of the need to control. Yet, God has given women incredible power in marriage—but they have to learn how to use it.
As you read Finding the Hero in Your Husband, Revisited, you will:
See how disappointment in marriage isn’t the end of intimacy, but an opportunity to build true intimacy that will go the distance.
Learn to use your relational power in a way that builds intimacy—instead of sabotaging it.
Recognize the ways you unknowingly sabotage intimacy by using your power to take over in marriage.
Understand what biblical submission isn’t, and be empowered to step into the influence and responsibility you have within marriage.
Solidly grounded in biblical truth, Juli covers topics such as work, home life, conflict, and intimacy. As a mentor and friend, she offers explanations of God’s design, healthy expectations, and relatable applications that women of faith can practice to influence their marriage and deepen their relationship with God. Ultimately, Finding the Hero in Your Husband, Revisited, will help a wife more clearly see and encourage the hero within her husband by examining her own heart.

The 5 Masculine Instincts
Don’t trust your instincts—there is a better path to becoming a better man.
It’s no secret: today’s men face a dilemma. Our culture tells them that their instincts are either toxic or salvific. Men are left with only two options: deconstruct and forfeit masculine identity or embrace it with wild abandon. They’re left to decide between ignoring their instincts or indulging them. Neither approach helps them actually understand their own masculine experiences nor how those experiences can lead them to become better men of God.
The Bible doesn’t shy away from the reality of masculine instincts nor all of the ways those instincts can lead to destruction. Examining the lives of five men of the Bible, The 5 Masculine Instincts shows that these men aren’t masculine role models or heroes but are men who wrestled with their own desires and, by faith, matured them into something better.
Through this book you’ll discover your own instincts are neither curse nor virtue. They are the experiences by which you develop a new and better instinct—an instinct of faith. Through exploring sarcasm, adventure, ambition, reputation, and apathy, The 5 Masculine Instincts shows you how to better understand yourself and how your own instincts can be matured into something better.
This is the path by which we become better men.

All the King's Men
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. – Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)
All The King's Men
Meeting Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 PM
Come and join us in a line-by-line study through the book of Genesis with the specific purpose of learning applicable life lessons from the men of Genesis. Each of these men had a different relationship with God, one another, and their world, and it impacted them uniquely as men. The challenges they faced can inform us as men how to love, lead, and live life today.
If you have questions or want more information, please contact Pastor Henry (henry@calvaryfargo.com).
Fall Kickoff
Revelation - Women's Bible Study Begins
A 10-Session Bible Study by Jen Wilkin
Revelation shouldn't leave us fearful or confused, but its imagery and concepts often confound our modern ears. If all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, though, we should assume Revelation is as accessible and helpful as any other book of the Bible. Study Revelation verse-by-verse to discover how the last book of the Bible is accessible, helpful, and speaks a steadying word of assurance and endurance to the church in every age.
