The Time for Revival
A Word from Pastor Henry
It is time for a move of God. Come, Holy Spirit! Come!
A word to the Calvary family after the July 19 disaffiliation vote.
We asked you to show up and make your voice heard, and show up you did. The vote was 98% in favor to disaffiliate (94 yes; 2-no).
At this time, there may be a mixture of emotions from grief to celebration. This is a normal response as some will grieve the loss of identity. For others, this has been a long time coming, and you will feel relief from finally taking a significant step forward. For many, this will be a moment of joy and excitement in anticipation of what God will do next at our church.
Wherever you are in that emotional spectrum, I thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord and Calvary! It has been a long journey, and now we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Many of you have remained faithful when others have come and gone. Some stayed under protest to God because they saw easier places of ministry. However, in the spirit, we sense the Lord has something bigger for Calvary; there is more for us.
The time for revival has come! Our vote was not simply a mark on a piece of paper but a prophetic declaration that we stand on the Lord’s side (Exodus 32:26). Every stand has a price, and so will this one. We will bear a financial cost, but better a financial one than an eternal one Mark 8:36).
This is the moment to surrender our lives and church (I’m not referring to the building) back to the Lord. To release the Holy Spirit so He may do His wonderful and mighty works so that we and another lost generation may know the radical transforming power of Jesus. It is time for a move of God! Come, Holy Spirit! Come!
Thank you for permitting me to be your shepherd. In this together!
May God minister to your soul with this song of reflection from Brandon Lake and Tasha Cobbs Leonard.
