July Highlights

Recent Updates

Baseball & Bonding

This month we had a blast at the RedHawks & in our ( now **sparkling clean** ) Calvary kitchen. Special thanks to Shari Weippert and the youth for  scrubbing those walls. Teens bonded, grease was obliterated, and Jesus was glorified.

School Supply Outreach

Give a helping hand to kids. The Calvary outreach team is collecting school supplies to assist families in need by resourcing area schools with “extras.” Drop your donations (until September) in the file cabinet by the mission wall, including:

Prayer Team Visioning Meeting

Summer is flying and fall will be here before we know it. In preparation for the new season, the Calvary staff is hosting a special prayer team gathering on Sunday, August 21, directly following the service.

Anyone interested in altar prayer, weekly prayer, or fasting/corporate intercession is welcome to join us. Light snacks provided; plan on around one hour for this gathering.

The Best of Summer

Youth Lake Day: August 21

Let’s bond! All youth and families are welcome for a beach day at the “Rostad Resort” (Genevieve’s parents’ place) at Jewett lake, just north of Fergus Falls. Join us for swimming, tubing behind the boat (not to be confused with river tubing), a bonfire, and grilling dogs and burgers for dinner. Nothing too formal here – maybe a few songs and a scriptures as we enjoy God’s creation together. This event is for all youth (including incoming 6th graders and recently graduated seniors), their friends, and their immediate families. Click here for details.

Publication Changes Ahead

Do you like design, tech, or beautiful images? Then you’ll love what’s coming this August! Over many months, our team has partnered with Page 1 Branding to craft a new look for Calvary – including a refresh on colors, logo, website, and more. As the website launches, look for sharp new designs for the bulletin, newsletter, and foyer. Help us PRINT LESS as we transition to digital publications. Thanks for your flexibility as we navigate the changes together.

Stephen Palacino

I've worked in marketing and design for 18+ years, and even met my wife (also a graphic designer) while working at an ad agency. She is my balance. We now have two young children and are finally learning the value of sleep.
