January Highlights

So many great things have happened here lately! Dennis fried fish for the staff, the Sunday morning nursery is open, we have new sanctuary banners, and the mission wall is COMPLETE (thank you Mary L. and Addy E.)!

Financial Update: A Conversation

In the last quarter, our finance team worked diligently to keep year-end costs efficient, to pay final conference apportionments, and to finalize the 2023 budget. We are in a strong financial position and we’re excited about what is NEXT for Calvary. Let’s discuss this together! Bring your questions, concerns, and dreams, and join us for a “state of finances” conversation: February 7, 6:30-7:30 PM, Room 102. Contact Tim Weippert for details. Zoom link available at calvaryfargo.com/events.

Furniture Mission of the Red River Valley would like to thank Calvary Fargo for their ongoing support in 2022. With your help we’ve served 800+ families in need this year and our numbers are increasing as community awareness grows. As always, you can help with prayers for families in crisis, donations to help with operating costs, serving as volunteers, and by sharing our story with others. Questions? Call Furniture Mission (701.729.1410), visit  www.furnituremissionrrv.org, or call Paul Fleming (701.361.4186.)

Help us evaluate the vitality of our church culture! Take the 2-minute Church Health survey here. Survey window is open until Feb. 6; contact Tim Weippert or Pastor Henry for details.

Our next GriefShare session starts Thursday March 2, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the church. GriefShare is a 13-week seminar/support group for people grieving the death of someone close. It’s a place where you can be around people who understand how you feel and the pain of your loss. Here you’ll learn valuable information that will help you through this difficult time in your life. Register by calling the office or visiting calvaryfargo.com/find-a-group.

Help with Upward Basketball (setup or greeting). Each week, Dennis K. diligently prepares the Calvary gym for hundreds of people who will participate in our Upward Sports program on Saturday. Can you help put out chairs on Fridays or greet for an hour or two on Saturdays? Visit the Info Center TODAY and sign up to help!

I've worked in marketing and design for 18+ years, and even met my wife (also a graphic designer) while working at an ad agency. She is my balance. We now have two young children and are finally learning the value of sleep.
